Location: Wind Gap (Ocean State Job Lot)
Category: Precision Masonry & Structural Restoration
OMNIServiceUSA executed a comprehensive “Seal the Box” structural remediation at the Wind Gap facility.
This project was designed to address critical items on the facility’s pest log by fortifying the building envelope, repairing interior storage zones, and upgrading fire-rated ingress points to ensure both safety and biosafety compliance.
The facility’s cleaning storage room and exterior driveway entrance exhibited significant structural degradation. Damaged drywall and PVC panels had created voids in the walls, while worn-out door seals and failing hardware provided easy access points for pests. Additionally, a critical fire-rated door had reached the end of its serviceable life and required immediate replacement to maintain building code standards.
Our construction team performed a multi-stage restoration involving the removal of compromised PVC panels and drywall. We installed new high-durability drywall, sealed all panel transitions, and integrated new cove basing for a seamless finish. We also upgraded the facility's defenses by installing heavy-duty aluminum door sweeps and weatherstripping. The project concluded with the precision installation of a new commercial fire-rated door and high-performance hardware, as well as the replacement of plywood and drywall panels at the storage entrance to ensure a fully sealed perimeter.
