OMNIServiceUSA was dispatched to the Scranton facility to address a critical structural vulnerability in the logistics zone.
A newly installed bay roll-up door exhibited significant gaps along the perimeter, compromising the building’s “Seal the Box” integrity and creating an inviting entry point for rodents and environmental debris.
Modern roll-up doors, while efficient for logistics, often have "daylight" gaps at the jambs (sides) and the header (top). In a high-volume retail environment, these gaps are primary highways for pests seeking warmth and food. Additionally, the lower sections of door tracks are frequent targets for rodent gnawing. To meet industrial biosafety standards, the door required a customized sealing solution that could withstand constant mechanical movement while providing a 100% light-tight barrier.
Our facility reinforcement team implemented a specialized two-tier protection strategy:
Perimeter Gasket Integration: We supplied and installed commercial-grade jamb seals and a heavy-duty header seal. these industrial gaskets create a continuous compression seal against the door curtain, eliminating air gaps and pest access points without interfering with the door’s operation.
Rodent-Proof Armoring: To prevent "gnaw-through" at the base of the door, we fabricated and installed two custom-cut galvanized metal shields. These were mounted internally along the tracks, extending from the ground up to 48 inches. This metal cladding creates an impenetrable physical barrier at the most vulnerable height for rodent activity.

Measurable results that speak for themselves
Successfully eliminated all "daylight" gaps, significantly improving the building's thermal efficiency and pest resistance.
The 48-inch galvanized track shields provide long-term protection against structural damage from pests.
Restored the loading bay to a "Seal the Box" compliant state, meeting stringent corporate facility standards.
