A site inspection identified multiple deep potholes that posed a significant risk to customer vehicles and pedestrian safety. Because this repair was required during the winter season when local hot-mix asphalt plants are closed, a standard permanent repaving was not an option. Leaving the potholes exposed would allow moisture to penetrate the sub-base, leading to catastrophic heaving and expansion.
Our paving team utilized high-performance commercial cold-patch technology. We cleared all loose debris and standing water from the affected areas to ensure maximum adhesion. The potholes were filled and mechanically compacted to create a high-density, weather-resistant surface that can withstand freeze-thaw cycles until the spring paving season begins.
