Location: 1561 – Barnegat (OSJL)
Category: Integrated Pest Exclusion & Facility Hygiene
OMNIServiceUSA executed a massive, 13-point structural fortification at the Barnegat facility.
This was an intensive “Seal the Box” project designed to neutralize active nesting sites and eliminate all physical pathways for pest ingress.
A high-level visual inspection revealed severe structural vulnerabilities. These included delaminated floors, rusted door jambs with open holes, large gaps around trash chutes and utility tubs, and active nesting evidence in the upstairs electrical room. The complexity of the project required a mix of masonry, carpentry, and specialized exclusion techniques across the entire facility footprint.
Our team implemented a multi-stage armoring strategy:
• Perimeter Hardening: Installed Xcluder® rodent-proof sweeps and aluminum thresholds on nearly every exterior door, including the front vestibule, warehouse, and emergency exits.
• Mechanical Sealing: Used a combination of copper mesh, Xcluder® fill fabric, and high-strength mortar to seal pipe penetrations in the sprinkler and electrical rooms.
• Structural Armor: Reinforced 22 feet of utility room walls with plywood and repaired rusted door jambs using industrial-grade epoxy body filler (Bondo).
• Sanitation: Performed a deep-sweep and decontamination of the electrical panels and nesting zones to restore a safe work environment.
