Location: Deptford (Ocean State Job Lot)
Category: Professional Signage Fabrication & Electrical Maintenance
OMNIServiceUSA was dispatched to the Deptford retail location to address a critical branding failure on the primary storefront facade.
The mission was to restore the “Job Lot” logo’s nighttime visibility, which had been compromised by a partial illumination failure.
A diagnostic site survey revealed that the terminal "L" in the "LOT" portion of the building’s primary channel letter sign was completely dark. In a high-traffic retail environment, "burnt-out" letters create a poor brand impression and can make the storefront appear neglected or closed. The height and scale of the "Big Letter" signage required specialized equipment to access the internal electrical components and identify the specific point of failure within the illuminated housing.
Our signage technicians conducted a comprehensive site survey and electrical diagnostic of the building's exterior branding.
Site Survey & Access: We utilized an aerial lift to reach the elevated channel letters for a safe and thorough inspection.
Electrical Diagnostic: Our team bypassed the primary photo-cell and timer to isolate the individual letter's circuitry. We identified the failure point—typically a degraded LED module or a faulty power supply (transformer) serving the "L" section.
System Restoration: We performed the necessary electrical repairs to re-energize the channel letter, ensuring the color temperature and brightness of the repaired section perfectly matched the existing "JOB" and "OT" components for a seamless brand appearance.
